Need for Effective Communication

Effective Communication is matter of perfecting at an art. It's a part of our daily lives, and we all know that an effective communication can solve many of our problems. I am saying so because most of the times we are unable to express ourselves properly.

A problem could be easily solved if approached with right attitude and good communication skills. I will discuss some of the most common and worrying scenarios that we face in our day to day lives.

Job interview
A student may be good in his or her studies, but at the time of job interview if the answers are not properly conveyed to the examiner, then the knowledge is useless. It's a very common example that almost every student faces.

Moreover if the student is aware that he is not good in spoken Communication, then he starts losing confidence. This results in stumbling and inability to express the correct answer in front of the interviewer.

So we see that after making all the efforts to master his or her subjects, a student can still fail to get a job. What a kill of all the efforts made in mastering the subjects? If some efforts were consistently made to improve the art of communication, then the situation could have been much better.

Managing a Team
Once you are a part of any organization, and are supposed to manage a team, then the role of effective communication becomes even more critical. A good leader should have good communication skills. How a person can manage and lead a team without properly communicating the plans and future actions for them.

This is a very common scenario faced in many organizations, and that is the main reason that many companies stress on spoken English skills while hiring a candidate. Once you are in charge of a team, then it is mandatory that your team should respect you, and respect comes only if you are properly authorizing the team members and playing a good leader and communicating effectively with them about their problems and issues.

An issue of respect
If a person is not able to speak his thoughts and ideas properly, then he starts losing respect among friends. No one would like to be friends with a person who is weak and can't even express himself properly.

Losing friends invoke the feeling of frustration and humiliation in the subconscious. This is very harmful as it can lead to temporary or permanent damage on the self confidence.

If a person is good in communication, he can feel the world moving at his will. It is very easy to communicate and get the things done. The world becomes a much better place to live at. All this comes at a price of mastering the art of spoken communication.

Personal Relationships
Everything starts at home. And home is the place where a person likes to be admired and respected. The respect could be from all the family members like hubby, wife, children, and parents.

There are times when personal relationships suffer due to some miscommunication or mismatching of thoughts. A good communication skill is essential in handling such scenarios. A wrong word or sentence can blow a relationship, while the choice of correct words combined with the right attitude and good Communication tactics can move the wind according to your way.

If a person is unhappy at home, then the same gets reflected in every part of his life including social and official. So don't let these issues get in your way. Give some time from your every day schedule for self improvement.

I hope this was inspiring enough to gear you up for mastering the art of effective spoken Communication. I will soon be back with yet another article on how to improve spoken English.
